Who this is for

GBP Scorecard is for local home-service businesses and the people who market them.

The trades

Plumbing, HVAC, roofing, electrical, pest control, garage door, landscaping, restoration, cleaning, moving, locksmith, pool service, and similar local trades where:

  • the customer has a local problem or project,
  • the business serves a city, county, or service radius,
  • the next step is usually a call, message, estimate request, or booking,
  • trust and response speed matter more than a content library.

The people

  • Owners and operators who want to know why a visible profile is not producing enough calls or booked jobs.
  • In-house marketers who need a repeatable diagnosis before proposing work.
  • Agencies and consultants who need a defensible, evidence-labeled second opinion.
  • Analysts and developers who want machine-readable findings for a larger system.

Not a fit

  • SaaS, e-commerce, media, and national brands with mature analytics teams.
  • Businesses with no public profile and no intention to create one.
  • Anyone looking for a guaranteed revenue lift, an automated fix, or a ranking guarantee.
  • Anyone who wants a field-completion checklist with a score attached.

What the framework assumes

  1. The Google Business Profile is a public storefront, not the whole business.
  2. A customer journey continues after Google: call, message, website, booking, estimate, response.
  3. Some evidence is observable; some is not. The difference must be explicit.
  4. Owner data is valuable. It is not a score penalty.
  5. A profile that cannot produce a next action is more commercially exposed than a profile missing an optional field.

The boundary

This scorecard diagnoses the public GBP. It does not diagnose:

  • the website's mobile form or page speed (Website Scorecard),
  • Local Pack rank or grid visibility (Local Visibility Scorecard),
  • CRM response time, close rate, or revenue (owner data or authorized connected diagnostics),
  • the operational remediation itself (RAD).
